The Origin of Lazy Susan-Revolving basket 

There was a Chinese man who invited his American guest to have a dinner in a luxurious restaurant. When the American people came in the dinning room he screamed suddenly: "Wow! Look at the Chinese lazy Susan! She carries so many delicious dishes!". The foreign friend said "lazy Susan"to indicate the big rotating round table, but why he used a lady's name to express a dining table? The origin could be traced back to an American ordinary hostess named Susan. 

Susan opened a restaurant named "Susan"in America. In that time, the servants working in restaurants need to pick up food for customers one by one, but it was time-consuming and made their service discounted as well. Then Susan came up with an idea, she made a rotary round plate and put it in the middle of the dining table so that customers could easily get what they like by revolving the round plate, instead of waiting for food from their servants.
